BMXing in Kamloops

Took Alex to the BMX track in Kamloops for the first time. He held his own; however, had a couple of good spills(a little tentative on the bike like his mom).

The Birthday Boy at Oliver.........

Weekend in Oliver: fun had by all! It was that time of the year we took out annual trip to Oliver and stayed at The Lakeside RV Resort. As usual, Alex made a lot of friends and had fun swimming, biking and just playing around. The weather was unbelievably hot: like 38 degrees! Yvonne raced the Oliver Half Ironman and toughed it out in the heat: can you say, "nice back burn!"

After Oliver we headed to Rock Creek for a night and did some hiking, biking and sitting around! The rain got the best of us, so we packed up early and headed back to Kamloops.

Hi Everyone,

Yes, it has been a long time since we have posted on our BLOG! No excuses on my part! We have been very busy over the last couple of months: Alex is busy with all his functions, Greg is busy with work and I am trying to help out landscaping our yard(and I don't have green thumb).

In June we are heading to Oliver for our annual camping trip. Alex is very excited because his cousin Colton with be coming along, plus he turns 4! After Oliver we will go to Rock Creek(near Grand Forks) and relax by the River and the Kettle Valley.

Greg also has been busy getting fit again.....it is unfortunate, because I can't ride with him anymore: he is too fast. This weekend while I ran a 15km road race, Greg was racing his mtn bike at the CowTrail in Merritt.

Well, it was a matter of time before Greg wentt out a bought himself a new snowmobile to bomb around with on the hills of Kamloops. He is already showing off new tricks to his new snowmobile buddies.

Hard Day of Training.....

Another tough day of training; however, this time it was at Stake Lake ripping it up on the ski trails.

Gymnastics......

Alex jumping off the horse at gymnastics! He just moved up a level today, we have him training hard for the 2018 Olympics. He trains up to 6 hours/day, he is tired a lot but this is the only way to get him to win that Gold. I don't think we are that tough on him(;

Greg and I are in full training for X-Country(Skate) Skiing! I have my first race this weekend in Kelowna......stay tuned for the race report!

Happy New Year 2007!!!!!

Where has the year gone? I hope everyone had a great Christmas and New Year. Yesterday we spent the day skating with Alex at a pond near our house. Then we headed up to Lac La Jeune to go for a night snowshoe through some epic trails and then a little dip in the hot tub. It was a very entertaining night. This year we have made some very good friends in Kamloops; however, we miss a lot of family and friends in the Lower Mainland.

Wow, what a Christmas......

Colton, Alex, Jaymie,Morgan and Liam! What a great day! Opened gifts from Santa, then hung out at Jaymie and Colton's house with the entire family. The kids played all day long! Alex was feeling under the weather today; however, he tried to keep up to the rest of his cousins(what a trooper). The highlight of the day was when Uncle Len let Alex drive the excavator in their front yard: they dug a hole and picked up a huge tree trunk! Alex was on cloud nine........ Today we are just hanging around home and letting Alex get over his nasty cold! Merry Christmas to everyone, enjoy the holiday season.

One more day til Christmas.....

This is my first time on skates! I loved it! We all went skating at Juniper outdoor rink in Kamloops.

The last couple of days have been so busy! We had an early Christmas with Grandpa and Grandma Timewell. They came to visit us in Kamloops and we went to see the Christmas Lights at The Wildlife Park. Morgan and Liam are in Kamloops visiting for Christmas. We have all been hanging out playing, skating, playing, and eating(junk food).
